The five-piece level up in their new single
For anyone who has sat in the friendzone, this track is for you. ‘Just Friends’ is the new offering from the south-coast quintet Crystal Tides.
Oozing in pop-punk sensibilities and alternative pop, the five-piece presents huge riffs, booming beats and sonic sounds in ‘Just Friends’.
Speaking on the track, frontman Billy Gregory says: “The idea started at my home studio one afternoon. When going through the existing song bank I felt there wasn’t anything in there that really captured the true unique Crystal Tides indie pop sound. The chorus melody had been floating round for a while alongside the intro riff. It quickly felt like the song was writing itself. I took the idea to the practice room where the rest of the band added their individual tricks to really create that Crystal Tides anthem sound.”
After huge success over the past couple of years with support from the likes of BBC Radio 1, Radio X, signing a record deal with Run on Records and selling out iconic venues such as London’s Omeara, Crystal Tides are well on their way to being the faces of indie music.
