The New Zealand mega star kickstarts the new year with a new title: Pop Royalty.

Who else to lift us out of our January blues other than pop princess PRINS? Since completely dominating the last year with her selection of euphoric bangers and the release of her glimmering EP titled ‘LIFE IS BETTER NOW’, the Christchurch-based artist has been rigorously at work to create her next killer hit.

Fast forward to now, ‘Something New’ is born. A track that’s been around the globe many times before its official release, PRINS wrote ‘Something New’ with co-writers in Los Angeles before being tweaked in Sydney and mastered in Nashville. The result? Pure perfection.

“It’s about the feeling of outgrowing a space you once called home, wanting more from your life than people around you and all the psychological effects of that,” describes PRINS. “It also touches on the ‘tall poppy syndrome’ and how difficult that is to navigate as an emerging artist.”
