The Brighton dreamboats release ‘Teammates’ ahead of their self-titled EP.
Out November 11th, The Dryas will drop their self-titled EP infused with wondrous indie-pop. But until then they’ve treated us to ‘Teammates’; a deliciously catchy anthem with hints of pulsing synth-pop.
Hudd Hunter-Smith, Luke Cowie and Conor Tagg started The Dryas back in 2021 once moving from their hometown in Kent, before that, each was involved in their own projects dating back to their teen years.
Experiencing minor setbacks due to the pandemic (haven’t we all!), the group’s debut singles ”Boy’ and ‘Make You Mine’ sparked interest from BBC Radio 1‘s Huw Stephens and Phil Taggart plus was given the accolade of Record of the Week by BBC Introducing‘s Abbie McCarthy – not bad for the coast-side newcomers!
“Teammates is a jaunty, indie-pop song filled with a rebellious sentiment that speaks to going against the status quo and sticking up for yourself,” – The Dryas
Expect a playful video to accompany ‘Teammates’ in the coming week, but until then take time to fully embrace The Dryas, you’ll thank us later.
